Fast Traxx Troupe formerly known as Joe Gentry Track Troupe was founded in 1969 by two-time Olympic Coach, Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Joseph Gentry.  The Mission of the organization is to provide a positive outlet for all young people to discover the joy of personal growth through athletic achievement.  No matter what their competitive level or economic status, we promise to educate the youth in our charge to the importance of setting goals and attaining their own “personal best”.

The mission of Fast Traxx Troupe (FTT) is to drive the athlete to aspire to achieve in leadership, discipline, integrity, and an excellence in education through the sport of track and field. We will provide athletes the opportunity to compete at a higher level of competition while emphasizing hard work and personal growth to create value for themselves with their talent.

Our club philosophy revolves around providing a safe and positive environment giving our athletes the opportunity to improve in the development of their skills. Athletes will develop their leadership skills, public speaking, critical thinking skills, and sense of community involvement. Members of the FTT track club will grow in their sense of ownership and decrease in their sense of entitlement
Since the Troupe’s beginnings, athletes have advanced and been placed among the top contenders in national competition.  More than 300 athletes have received athletic and academic scholarships to colleges and universities throughout the country and around the world as a direct result of their participation. In addition, several of the Troupe’s alumni have gone on to participate in Olympic competitions and professional athletic careers.
“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
